[SOLVED] Kernel version: why 2.6.##-ARCH and not 2.6.##.#-ARCH?

Just to know, I feel curious indeed.
Why 'uname -r' shows '2.6.37-ARCH' and it doesn't show '2.6.37.4-ARCH', for example?
Why the format is '2.6.##-ARCH' and not '2.6.##.#'?
Thank you in advance!

Re: [SOLVED] Kernel version: why 2.6.##-ARCH and not 2.6.##.#-ARCH?

because we have to recompile all external modules for every minor update instead of doing it once per major update

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
