KDE + Power button

Hi,
I have kde 4.6.1 installed on an Asus X55SV laptop. When I press the power button in KDE, my system hangs for about 1.5 minutes before the kde's exit menu appears. By hang I mean I can move the mouse, but if I click somewhere, I get response only after the exit menu appears.

Can somebody help me to fix this?

By the way, I have acpid in my daemons array and asus-laptop in my modules list.
