UPDATE:: alsaconf says it can't find any supported PnP or PCI cards. Is this netbook too new?
Hi, I recently bought an Acer Aspire One D255, and put Arch Linux on it (kernel26, not kernel26-one - it's out of date)
I installed pulseaudio, but when I play anything, I only get sound through the left speaker, never the right. Headphones work fine, however.
Thinking this could be an error with pulseaudio, I removed it and tried using ALSA. It has the same problem!!!
alsamixer shows both channels unmuted.
What is going on? Has any one else had this error?
Has Acer in fact removed the right speaker? And there is only one?

Right. According to a few spec sites, this has a mono speaker. Thanks for lying, local computer store.
