Most distributions have a power management icon in the KDE system tray that shows battery information and has a slider for screen brightness. I installed kde through pacman -S kde but can't find a package that contains this power management icon. Can anyone help?

Right click on the system tray, go to the system tray settings and check the "Battery Monitor" under the Extra items list.
If you want that the applet to be always visible, you also need to go to the "Entries" section and set the visibility of the battery applet to "always visible"
