Flash player - Less CPU usage in fullscreen
When I have flash player in fullscreen, CPU usage is below 40%. And when the flash video is not fullscreen or is minimized it uses over 80% CPU and is choppy and laggy. Not sure what could be causing this.
-- Using KDE 4.6.1 with no compositing enabled
-- Using flash 64-bit 10.3 from AUR

Flash has always been SSSLOW in linux. Don't expect too much out of it.
Also, you haven't tell us what kind of CPU and Graphics are you using? (80% on a core iX is a different story)
You best bet is to disable hardware acceleration.
Goto http://www.youtube.com/swf_test.html, Right click on the flash>Settings, uncheck hardware acceleration.
