Hi everyone.
I know there are many threads regarding this driver but i already searched them and couldnt find someone with a similar problem.
I have a broadcom BCM4312 wireless card on my dell 1440 laptop.
Until yesterday i had the wl driver installed and working flawlessly (version 5.100.82.38 downloaded and compiled from the broadcom site). Then i did a full system upgrade (apparently there was a kernel upgrade involved) and recompiled the driver, but it never worked again.
I also tried installing the broadcom-wl AUR package, same problem. The networkmanager doesnt even show a wireless option.
If i load the default b43 module, a wireless option shows up, but says "missing firmware".
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance and please excuse my poor english.
Regards

Check out this thread dedicated to roadcom-wl : https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=82613
It has helped me a lot when I got problem with it.
Mine, with a hp mini 1137, it was not working after installation and reboot, but after a complete shutdown (not a reboot), I got it working.

thanks for the info. I didnt use it though.
I wired myself to the router and checked for updates. There were some new kernel updates! So i recompiled the driver sources, rebooted and voila! wireless works fine again. weird.
Thanks anyway!

Maybe you should, uhmm, install the firmware....

You should only mark it solved after posting your solution.

Hi, I have the exact same device and problem, but I could not solve just by upgrading and recompiling.
What the exact version of your kernel? Did you installed the package from AUR (broadcom-wl)?
Can you share your rc.conf modules list?
Thanks
