[Solved] Arch Linux not booting

Hi everyone,
ever since my last update two days ago i am not able to boot into arch linux.
here is what i can see:
It appears that the system boots normally until all the daemons start up.
after that nothing happens. i dont get a tty, i dont get an X server.
still, when i press the power button my system suspends to disk as i specified it in acpi scripts, so i guess the system is running up to some point. unfortunately i cannot ssh into my system or something like that.
also i use mingetty for 2 of my ttys if thats of importance.
i use agetty on the others, but they dont work either.

what can i do to get my system up and running normally again?
what logs and stuff do i have to post/look into for more information?

[EDIT]
The system booted fine all the time but my .xinitrc script was broken and my ttys still dont work.

Re: [Solved] Arch Linux not booting

Cptn_Sandwich,

Try first to boot in single user mode. Supposing you are using Grub to boot, use 'e' to edit, again 'e' to edit the kernel line,
put a '1' at the very end of the kernel line.

'b'  to boot.

If it boots take a look at the /var/log and at /etc/inittab.
