Today I enabled testing in order to get gnome. Works fine althought I have a problem with external monitors connected to my Lenovo X201 laptop (i915 based if I recall) via Display port (DVI). Neither Gnome display manager or arandr are able to detect the display. If I use VGA everything is fine. This setup was working before the upgrade. The only thing I did when upgrading was to ignore kernel 2.6.38 in order to stay with 2.6.37 from core.
Should I reverse back to xorg from Core? Would that still work with Gnome3?

Well there must have been a mechanical issue with my docking station. Everything is working fine now.

Upgrade from April 11 broke a new thing. 2.6.38 kernel from testing was blacklisted on my machine. Now it has hit [Core] so it got updated on my machine. Intel-dri has also been update.
Now even with a VGA cable hooked up to my machine I'm unable to switch to have only external display. Mirror function is working but if I use aRAND to disable LVDS screen (laptop) and only use external VGA then I get a weird flickering on the display. At some point I think I've seen a libc related error message associated to dri.
I also noticed the following in my dmesg [drm:drm_edid_block_valid] *ERROR* EDID checksum is invalid, remainder is 138
[drm:drm_edid_block_valid] *ERROR* EDID checksum is invalid, remainder is 138
[drm:drm_edid_block_valid] *ERROR* Raw EDID:
