Ideapad Y730 - Headphone jack not working after pulseaudio install

After installing pulseaudio, my headphone jack isn't working. The speakers aren't being muted and no output is coming from the jack. I've tried blacklisting pcspkr as well. The headphone section under alsamixer is no longer showing up, and pulseaudio + alsa works under ubuntu on this machine. I've also tried adding the model setting under sound.conf but that didn't do anything.

[eric@eric-laptop ~]$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/sound.conf

alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel model=ideapad

EDIT:
I connected a usb sound card and used the headphone jack on that, and it works for that.. In gnome 3 I selected it on the sound mixer, but when I do that for the intel card it faintly plays sound on the speakers.
