Linksys WUSB54Gv4 adapter : Dropped connection and poor DNS resolution

Arch noob on my first build.

I'm currently running a Linksys WUSB54G on x86_64. I'm connecting to a WPA2 network using netcfg with no issues. Default driver worked out of the box but connection would drop every 2 or 3 minutes for roughly 1 to 2 minutes and come back up on its own. I installed ndiswrapper and setup the 32bit Windows XP driver from the Linksys site. The only other available driver is for Vista which I haven't tested yet. This led to a longer gap between the connection dropping but its still happening every 5 or 6 minutes. It also takes an eternity to resolve DNS. I'll open Firefox and type in an address and it will take up to two minutes to load the site. Once it's up and running I don't have any issues until the connection drops again.

Anyone familiar with this card or had related issues with other chipsets (RT2750)? I'm not opposed to purchasing a new card and if anyone has had success with a wireless N card suggestions would be appreciated.
