Catalyst and XBMC... horrible exiting effect...

I'm pretty sure this is an ATI issue, as Intel and NVidia have not given me this problem, but I wonder if I should post this here, the XBMC forum, or both... This has been happening for quite some time now... When exiting full-screen from XBMC (standard, -pulse, and -git versions) the screen is horribly torn (like a dog with jagged teeth had an epileptic seizure with the screen in it's mouth while running in circles and doing backflips... anyway...)

This seems to effect my ATI laptop no matter what DE/WM I'm running.  My Intel and Nvidia nettops, however, have not given me this type of experience... they both work fine, actually... It also goes back to being fine when XBMC is returned to fullscreen.  XBMC itself looks fine, but any switching off of XBMC from fullscreen (shutting it off or leaving it running, but exiting fullscreen) causes this confetti effect.

I can attempt screenshots if necessary... but I'm wondering if I'm the only one experiencing this, because I have not found any threads anywhere on it... currently using 11.2 (possibly 11.3), but the problem has probably been there since 10.11 or 10.12... any help would be appreciated.

Re: Catalyst and XBMC... horrible exiting effect...

Sounds like you are using the catalyst drivers, and they are not archlinux specific.
I suggest to ask about this on xmbc forums.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Re: Catalyst and XBMC... horrible exiting effect...

if that's the case, I should hop on over to the Regnum forums too... cause it happens with Regnum as well...

EDIT: also would like to note that I am using the catalyst packages from AUR...
