[Solved] System shutdown while installing

It happens always in the Initramfs generation step

My system just shutdowns.

Happens in archlinux(releng) and debian(testing) installers.

Any idea?

Depends on your skills with electronics.
I'd try to test if the fan is working out of the laptop.
If it is, the mainboard is probably cracked somewhere.
If it isn't buy a new one...

well, that's my last resort

currently, cpu is going to 100C before shutdown

I want to ask acer for a copy of windows 7 starter in order to try it on windows

Did you already open the machine to see if the fan is blocked or covered by dust?

Hi guys, I solved it. It was a damn faulty unit.

I'm using a new one and it works great
