blank screen during installation on macbook5,2

Hello all,

I'm trying to install Arch on my macbook using the netinstall iso, but I can't get past the loading process. After grub, I see a message saying "unpacking initramfs" or something like that and then the screen goes blank. I've tried appending "nomodeset" and everything else listed on the wiki without success. I've also tried with a newer iso (14.04.2011), but the installation got stuck at the same point. Does anyone have any clues about how I can solve this?

Either acpi=off or maxcpus=1 and acpi=off did the trick. I didn't try with acpi=off only...
