A very simple question, but I'm trying to make rhythmbox play my mp3 files instead of VLC. When I do open-with, it tells me I have to use sudo for it. But I'm not using the terminal for that, I'm using the lxde-compiz gui. I don't know the command ![]()
I opened some cache files and switched rhythmbox into the front of the list like another site I found said, but it didn't work. The openwith and change default worked great with my root account though xD
I really just don't know what terminal command it would be to change it.

Try gksu or kdesu instead of sudo for GUI apps

Eventually found out by running around in Compiz settings, but installed that program as well. Seems very nice!
Thanks. ![]()
