New Install ISO

I'm sorry if this is the wrong section to ask but I thought it was appropriate. I was wondering if Arch developers had any plans or a release date for an updated 2011 installation ISO? I've been using the May 2010 (latest) release and it's becoming a bit to dated even under 'netinst'. It appears before you can do anything Pacman complains about the dated version of Pacman. Then it has other packages it must update before it can move on. Any plans to release 2011 release install ISO?

Re: New Install ISO

afaik there is one in the pipeline - testing at the mo. However, there are still some problems with it.

Re: New Install ISO

You can try http://releng.archlinux.org/isos/ if you want, but, as toad said, there still are some issues https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/De … ng_roadmap

Re: New Install ISO

that's strange. i never managed to make a working dual arch iso with archiso.

i also cannot build a i686 iso on 64bit host properly with archiso.

maybe there is some special trick i have to do.
