Wireless mini-pci to pci adapter

I have only just realised how awful wireless support is for Linux... truly dire!! I am in the process of finding a wireless card for my desktop and want to steer well clear of ndiswrapper. I am looking at using an Intel centrino 6200 wireless mini-pci card along with a mini-pci to pci adapter. Has anybody done this? Is it feasible? Is it reliable?

Also, if anyone has any suggestions of other wireless cards or USB adapters that work out of the box with kernel support without ndiswrapper, that would be great. I have looked through here but it seems that most require ndiswrapper or some serious hackery to get working, while others simply are not reliable.

Thanks!

Re: Wireless mini-pci to pci adapter

No offense, but your post is complete garbage. Wireless support under linux is very good, and improving all the time. Use a better source for your information - the best is wireless.kernel.org. Read the Arch wiki's wireless pages too - no idea why you would refer to some other distro's resources when Arch's wiki is so good. roll
