Heya,
I decided to see what the big fuss with gnome3 was about and it turns out that it is a very easy desktop environment that a lot of my friends/family would enjoy on my laptop if they wanted to use it.
I'm having a problem though, whenever I click the network choice in nautilus to pull some files off of my windows computer, nothing is happening. I tried opening nautilus with gksu and it just said that it could not display networks and that it could not simply handle them.
I've reinstalled nautilus and tried a few ways I've found on google but nothing is working. Installed samba as well, but that's not doing much either.
Are there any easy fixes without using a different file manager? I guess I am kind of fond of pcmanfm...
Thanks in advance for any kind of help.

I have not tried gnome3, but with gnome2 you need to install gvfs-smb to browse the network with nautilus.
