Been trying to fix this for a few days on my own but I am lost.
Once a X session starts I have to replug in my USB devices(headset, keyboard and mouse) to use them.
When I boot into a CLI environment the keyboard works fine. I am using xf86-input-evdev.

I have tried:
removing the InputDevice entries from xorg.conf
starting X without a xorg.conf
generating a new xorg.conf (with nvidia-xconfig and Xorg -configure)
Adding server flag Option "AutoAddDevices" "False" (and "true") to xorg.conf
Adding server flag Option "AllowMouseOpenFail" "true" to xorg.conf

I've been dealing with this too. From googling around I've found it's a bug with the new version of udev that affects some motherboards/chipsets.
The temporary workaround until this is fixed is to simply unplug and plug back in your keyboard and mouse, and they will immediately work. Or you can downgrade udev
until the bug is fixed.
