Yet, the rest of my system seems to be working fine. And I can use Remmina to use VNC.
Does anybody have any clues as to what kernel setting may have screwed this up?
I have my timer frequency set to 100Hz (not 1000) and I've heard of people having trouble with virtualbox when changing the timer frequency, but virtualbox runs fine here.
I also disabled a ton of stuff, so it could be about 1000 things that broke it. But, I have no idea.

This probably isn't a kernel problem, the more I think about it. It may just be a coincidence that it acted up when I hacked up my kernel.
But Dbus and console kit seem to be running, like they always do. Gnome-keyring is doing fine, since network-manager is working as it should.
