arch users need skype

Did anyone install skype successfully?
If so can you tell us how did you achieve it.

I just downloaded the "Dynamic binary" from the skype site.
Didn't have any problems with it since version 0.90 or something...

Basiclly I untared it to a directory and run the skype binary file... that's about it...

Works great to talk with my sister across the ocean.

just to make sure...
you have to load oss-lagacy stuff on alsa boxes
modprobe snd_mixer_oss
modprobe snd_pcm_oss

or leave it somewhere in your bootprocess

Thanks Greycloack I installed skype from the binary package and it works great.
