Non-working udev script in wiki

I was reading through the udev section in the wiki and can't get the script to work correctly. It's the one here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ud … if_present

It does the mounting just fine but will not perform the umount command correctly nor will it remove the directory. If the inserted drive does not have a vfat label set it seems to work fine but if there is a label set (which means the mount point should also be the same) it is mounted correctly but upon removal it is not unmounted and each new insertion of the drive will create a new mount which will keep adding up until manually unmounted or a reboot.

I can't seem to get it to work properly. Anyone know what is wrong here? It must have worked at one point.

Thanks.

Re: Non-working udev script in wiki

You could try udiskie. It is quite nice.

I thought you were supposed to manually unmount the device?
