Does anyone know if this scanner is even supported by Linux?

Can't seem to find anything conclusive, though I have ran into random reviews that mention Linux.  Figure if I ask, more eyes may find something definitive.  If not, oh well...

Nice piece of hardware!.

By looking at the vendor's website, I understand that this scanner uses internal memory, SD cards. So, you don't need to worry about hooking it up to a computer to use it. After you do your scanning jobs, you simply attach the SD card to your machine, or, you can use the USB cable to download the images just like what you do with a digital camera.

sounds like a blessing and a curse.... nice that I don't need to hook it up to a computer, but if I wanna make sure the scan is done the way I want, I have to either plug it in or swap the sd card to check the image(s) until I get what I want... might be worth seriously looking into...

I did see that, but the reviews that mentioned OSs kinda threw me off from even focusing on that aspect...
