hehe.
When I start Arch it uses about 200MB. But Firefox likes to eat my mem, its currently using more than 500MB by itself and Rhythmbox is using almoust 200MB (I havent found any light alternative for Rhythmbox yet. )
When I used GNOME it could easly go up to 2-3GB RAM.

If you really want a light one you could go for mpd + ncmpcpp. I really love it. It works great, offcourse it's a terminal one not everyone likes terminal music players.

I have already tried ncmpcpp and a few other MPD clients. I really liked them all, but the basic support for playlists isnt good enough for me.

Back to one of my favourite window managers: ratpoison. And I've also been using st
in place of xterm for a while; it's working nicely.
I've seen young people waste their time reading books about sensitive vampires. It's kinda sad. But you say it's not the end of the world... Well, maybe it is!

I have a dynamic IP address, it's already something different.
I'm behind a router anyway, and I don't use ssh, so I feel pretty safe.

So what? How is his ip address any more valuable than a completely random ip address?

Looks good. Mind sharing your Xdefaults (colorscheme, in particular)? Thanks
edit: Dang, that's a lot of memory.
