Tagging problem with ncmpcpp

I have used mpd+ncmpcpp for playback and tagging with no hiccups for a few months now. My music library was local, on the machine in question.

Today I copied some files to my machine through ssh, and for whatever reason, ncmpcpp refuses to write tags to them. I simply get a nondescript "Error while writing tags in <file>" every time I try. The files from my original library continue to work fine. I thought it might be a permissions issue, but they both belong to the same user:group and have the same level of permission (drwxr-xr-x).

Is something else missing here? Advice/help would be appreciated, thanks.

I am almost lost.

Re: Tagging problem with ncmpcpp

I've just found out what caused this error to me: the mpd library path was not correct in the ncmpcpp config file. Please, check if that is what happens to you.

Re: Tagging problem with ncmpcpp

Maybe it's a rights problem, maybe you, the user, isn't allowed to write to the file.
