Using keyboard trough usb to ps2 adapter

Hello i have a great ps2 keyboard that want to use on my laptop, so i bought an adapter.
The problem is that the keyboard doesn't work, I checked the BIOS options and nothing the only thing i get is this output in the logs:

May  3 14:26:08 localhost kernel: [  931.383402] hub 2-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 2

Every time i press a button in the new keyboard this output appears in the log.
Any idea on how to solve this ?
