Trying to clean up "ATI_Catalyst": a few questions

This article or section is poorly written.

So I'm trying to clean it up, and I'll be posting questions here. Now I have got one question:

• Does catalyst drop support for old hardware with each update? If not, then I suppose that old-version catalyst is not very useful, and I'll remove all those history stuff from the wiki article.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Only way to know is to check the supported cards list at every update.
edit: page should probably be renamed to amd now...
