Hi,
Last night I updated my system and there was an update for the kdeplasma-applets-networkmanagement package (and some gnome3 stuff). After the update, my wireless connection (which I used for the updating) was disconnected. I could not reconnect to my wireless network so I rebooted my system. After rebooting I was still unable to connect to my wireless network. Connecting to eth0 is no problem. Today, after serveral tries and reboots, I'm still unable to connect to my (or other) wireless networks.
I discovered following issues:
When clicking the applet => "Manage Connections..." => "Wireless tab" => "Add" and manually adding a connection, I get following error: "Adding connection failed. Error code is 0/2 ()."
When clicking the applet => "Show more..." and clicking my wireless network SSID, I get a "Add a Network Connection" window with no data filled in. When manually filling the data and clicking 'OK', nothing happens. The connection isn't listed under the 'Wireless tab'. The connection does appear (three times :s) under "Connections" that shows up when clicking the applet, but clicking (one of) the connection(s) has no result or gives me a "Activating mywireless" .... "Connection mywireless failed".
ifconfig gives me:
wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:1E:65:21:B8:F8
UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
/var/log/daemon.log shows me following strange log entry:
NetworkManager[1793]: <warn> connection /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Settings/0 failed to activate: (0) The connection was not a WiFi connection.
Does anyone know how to solve this? Does anyone else has this problem?
Greetz,
Tom

I'm deeply ashamed. I've just found some related threads in other subforums:
In these threads, a work around is given.
I'll leave my post here because this is after all a "package upgrade issue".
