Me-TV in Gnome 3 not working...

On opening Me-TV from the apps menu the return is "Failed to communicate with Me TV server.  Would you like the Me TV client to attempt to start it?", then a request for a channels.conf is made and the error in the status bar is "Failed to tune device: No such device".

I am unable to run Me-TV from the terminal, the return is - "command not found". Firmware has been placed in lib/firmware - the same firmware works on Arch with XFCE and Me-TV on another machine and previously on this machine with Gnome 2.

In desperation and with much hesitation and reluctance I have joined this forum.

dmesg:

Re: Me-TV in Gnome 3 not working...

scan -x0 -t1 -s1 /usr/share/dvb/dvb-t/uk-CrystalPalace | tee channels.conf

I have some channels (so far) to work with that (UK Crystal Palace). Far from working correctly though.
