Hello,
As the package in aur isn't working (installation ok but no printing [it says printed but nothing happens]), i thought about compiling from the sources....
But how to proceed ?
Here is the place to find the sources : http://support-asia.canon-asia.com/cont … 36704.html
If anyone knows it'll be nice.
I'm doing the process till i get this error :
/bin/sh ../libtool --tag=CC --mode=link gcc -O2 -Wall -I. -I./common -L../../com/libs_bin -o cnijnetprn cnijnetchk.o cnijnetprn.o -lcnnet -lc -ldl -lcups
libtool: link: gcc -O2 -Wall -I. -I./common -o cnijnetprn cnijnetchk.o cnijnetprn.o -L../../com/libs_bin -lcnnet -lc -ldl -lcups
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible ../../com/libs_bin/libcnnet.so when searching for -lcnnet
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /lib/../lib/libcnnet.so when searching for -lcnnet
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /lib/libcnnet.so when searching for -lcnnet
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lcnnet
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [cnijnetprn] Erreur 1

Maybe the package is okay, but you omit uploading the driver to the printer. Look at this thread.

There is some news : i installed the gutenprint package and removed all cnijfilter- from aur.
Now the printer is recognized, i select the suitable driver, and then i get this error (form cups logs) :
[CGI] Unable to create avahi client: Resource temporarily unavailable
[cups-deviced] PID 6139 (dnssd) stopped with status 1!
I can see the printer recieves the data, but nothing is physically printed. Any idea ?

Is the printer actually working?
The avahi error is no problem, it is probably not available, that is ok.

Of course the printer is working....
Unable to set ACLs on root certificate "/var/run/cups/certs/0" - Operation not supported
Means i have to edit some permissions ?
Status is Idle, too
