Install Screen problem

I have Arch installed in most of my machines..

When I tried to install in a P4 machine , after runnning /arch/setup the blue screen loads incorrectly.....The menu is hardly visible and there are lot of ASCII characters resembling a smiley across the entire screen..If I try to move up or down the menu , same menu description beside the text appears & not able to select an option.
