HI,
I am running xrandr 1.3.4 on an old Thinkpad t23 with super savage IX/C SDR graphic card. when I connect an external monitor to my VGA port, first of all xrandr -q does not identify it as VGA or anything else. there is always only one default 0 output. obviously, xrandr --output VGA --auto only prints a a warning message saying that VGA was not found. I have a 10-monitor.conf in my /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ directory were the two screens are defined. I used to run Slackware on this laptop and I remember I could easily switch to external monitors with xset, I guess. any ideas?
thanks.
