gnome-shell (Gnome 3) sluggish with NVIDIA SLI enabled

Hey guys, I have an SLI-capable machine that worked well with SLI enabled under Gnome 2. Not so much with Gnome 3 -- the animations are jerky and glitchy.

I've followed the procedure at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Nv … abling_SLI (in fact, I wrote that wiki content.) I'm running Linux 2.6.38-ARCH x86_64 and using the 270.41.06 nvidia driver.

Has anyone else run into this? Things work beautifully with SLI disabled, but I hate that I have an idle GPU in the machine! Thanks.

Hi RocketSurgeon, were you able to fix this?
I am having the same issue as you.

Given that OP wrote the wiki content nearly three years ago, you should check there. Please don't necrobump:
