Hi, when I was trying to upgrade OO, pacman gave me this error:
checking package integrity...
error: archive openoffice-base-1.1.4-4.pkg.tar.gz is corrupted
I removed it, and re-installed it ... same thing.
Anyone knows a solution?

have you tried a different pacman mirror?

If you go into the pacman cache folder located in /var/cache/pacman/pkg you can delete the corrupted archive and then try pacman again which should download a new non-corrupted copy.
I have had the same problem as yours in the past and this solution has worked for me. If it doesn't try the same method again but try downloading from a different mirror as stonecrest suggested previously.
Everytime this has happened to me it is usually just a bad download and not a corrupt file at the download source, however there can always be a first time I suppose.
