2.6.39 ath9k regression

I installed kernel26 from [testing] and my wireless connection has become unusably slow. It just takes forever to connect to any website, but in some cases does manage to make a connection. I'm not sure what information I can provide to help debug, because nothing relevant is in dmesg or other log files (well, there is nothing different from 2.6.38 logs and 2.6.39 logs).

Is anyone having similar issues? Is there something I can do to provide more debugging information?

I also tried with modprobe ath9k nohwcrypto=1 but that didn't change anything.

had similar issues from .38 & .39, with ath5k same issues.

I've had the same regression on the same card since kernel 2.6.38.
Try creating the file

/etc/modprobe.d/ath9.conf

and writing

options ath9k nohwcrypt=1

On an upgrade to 2.6.39, I was getting the "deauthenticated from (.....) Reason 3" error, and would only connect for a max of 30 seconds, and sometimes took numerous attempts to connect to my router. I disabled ipv6, which appears to have speeded things up a lot, and rolled back my kernel to 2.6.38 for now. I am using the ath9k driver on an Asus X5DC laptop, using the Atheros 9285 chipset.

Does anyone know if this has now been fixed? I still have the kernel blacklisted for upgrade, and just want to know if its safe yet?
