[solved] m4a and amarok (gstreamer problem?)

Hi!

I can't play m4a files in amarok that says that gstreamer has encountered a "datastream error" (correct translation?)

Using vlc as a phonon backend isn't an option because of this bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=266719 (althoug it is marked as "fixed")

Any ideas if I'm only missing a package?

TIA

just solved my own issues with gstreamer by running pacman -S gstreamer0.10-plugins and installing all available bits that went along with that.  give it a shot.

Weird, I thought I have everything needed installed (gstreamer-plugins-ugly etc.) but pacman -S gstreamer0.10-plugins solved it.

Was there an update that changed anything (it worked for a verly long time)?

Not sure.  I was equally surprised that I was missing packages.  Just when you think you know how something works...
