I have several keyboard shortcuts set in xfce4. Printscreen, ctrl+printscreen, ctrl+alt+del, alt+f2. They work for a time, but soon only ctrl+alt+del (to lock the screen) does anything. I have to kill and restart xfce4-settings-helper to use the others again. However, within a few minutes (10? 15?) the shortcuts stop working again.
I have gnome-settings-daemon running, if that affects anything (I'm using a few gnome programs and many gtk ones).
How do I make xfce4-settings-helper -always- pay attention to my keyboard shortcuts? Or how do I stop whatever other program(s) from blocking it?

If anyone has even a partial answer to this, I'd appreciate hearing it. I would like to be able to use keyboard shortcuts to do things like take a screenshot without having to restart xfce4-settings-helper every time.

Well does it make a difference if gnome-settings-daemon is not running?

Unfortunately, no. To test it, I just killed gnome-settings-daemon and restarted xfce4-settings-helper. I still can't use the keyboard shortcuts I set in XFCE (except ctrl+alt+del to lock the screen, which has never stopped working).

A recent commit to the XFCE git is said to have fixed this, so I'll mark the topic solved.
