Flash video playing at 110% speed

SInce early April, all flash video has been running at approximately 110% speed on my laptop. All the sounds are chipmunky and it's getting annoying. The issue has persisted through several updates of flashplugin and is present in all my browsers (jumanji, chromium, firefox4). My current version of flashplugin is  flashplugin 10.3.181.14-2

What's more annoying is that some flash videos have stopped working altogether. The video player at thecomedynetwork.ca stopped working for me yesterday, initially playing just the ads but not the videos, now not even playing the ads, just giving me a black box.

I don't know if the two issues are related. has anyone else had this issue, or does anyone have an idea?

What graphics card do you have, what drivers? 64-bit or 32?
Does it happen always, only after hibernate/resume, only in fullscreen?

Re: Flash video playing at 110% speed

I never hibernate or suspend, I haven't gotten that bit all worked ot for my hardawre yet and haven't taken the time.

I have an ati mobility radeon HD 3400. My laptop is a Dell Studio 1535.
It may have something to do with my switch from ati open source to the catalyst drivers around that time, since I wanted to be able to play some 3D games in wine. 32 bit version, for ease.
