I installed torsmo and when I try to start it I get a floating point exception. I have tried to install it from source and from phrakture's repo and I get the same error either way. What could the problem be?

I have the same problem. I never solved it, so I just quit using torsmo.

did you copy the sample.torsmorc to ~/.torsmorc? that might be the problem if it can't find an rc file.
Offline
No, it executes fine, but it dies right away with the floating point exception. I'm 100% positive it has nothing to do with the *rc because I tested that to make sure...

Tell this to the Torso devs, as it is most likely a bug in their software.

hmmm I haven't updated torsmo in my repo for sometime... it may be buggy, but it works for me... maybe try dibblethewrecker's version which has some added patches... mine's just vanilla

Well, the problem was in the .torsmorc file someplace. I removed everything under text and it ran fine, so if you have the same problem, try removing things in the TEXT section.
