Hi folks,
I don't know what's happening but I could go to Youtube and use it to see videos etc. Since last week, I can't even get access to the site. It simply doesn't LOAD (tried with Chromium and Firefox). Tried on Windows today and it worked perfectly. Any idea about what's going on? Any help would be heavily appreciated.
Thanks.
D.

What does traceroute say?
Offline
Try pinging the site. Also, try it through a proxy.

Hi people,
Thanks for your answers.
PING works fine.
TRACEROUTE gives the following result:
traceroute www.youtube.com
traceroute: Warning: www.youtube.com has multiple addresses; using 74.125.234.65
traceroute to youtube-ui.l.google.com (74.125.234.65), 30 hops max, 52 byte packets

7 209.85.248.203 (209.85.248.203) 37.350 ms 38.462 ms 32.749 ms
8 * 74.125.234.65 (74.125.234.65) 32.151 ms 31.701 ms
So I can apparently reach youtube, but it takes too long in Firefox or Chromium and it never loads all the page, only few links (no images etc.)
Using a PROXY works 90% (some images don't load).
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Interesting... I only have one DNS result when I try "www.youtube.com":
youtube-ui.l.google.com (74.125.226.110)
Looks like you have the wrong IP address resolving.

Hi, Griemak,
Number 3 is certainly my Internet Provider and I imagine number 2 leads me to it. I simply can understand why this suddenly happened (some 10 ago) and why in Windows, in the same machine, it works just fine.
It has to be a way to fix this, I just can find out by myself.
Another strange thing: It just doesn't load www.youtube.com directly. If I google for a youtube video, I can access it perfectly.
Thanks for your answer,
D.
