Hi
When pressing the Cheese effects button, cheese crashes.
I get in a console:
(cheese:8378): WARNING **: Internal data flow problem
(cheese:8378): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_get: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
Segmentation faultWithout playing with effects, cheese works

I just noticed this yesterday too! I'm on Gnome 3, 32 bit arch. Even the previews of the effects (some) are working, its just when i click it i get the segmentation fault.

Same here, been having this problem since a week or so.
EDIT: Read somewhere that we might need a git clone of the gstreamer 'bad' plugins to get behaviour back to normal again.. Going to try and let you know ![]()
RESULT: Didn't work for me ![]()

This bug should be now fixed in master branch in git repository.

Hi ! Do you know why I don’t see all the effect in Cheese ?
For comics, Che Guevara, Chrome and Deformation, I only see a black square, no preview, and when I click on it, nothing happens.
Using Gnome 3.2, 32bits.

I'm getting this too, but they have worked fine previously. I'm on XFCE, 64 bit.
Edit: From a command prompt I get this output:
** (cheese:1873): WARNING **: Error with effect filter Che Guevara. Ignored
** (cheese:1873): WARNING **: Error with effect filter Chrome. Ignored
