HP Pavilion dv6-4052: Freezing

Hey everyone,

I have a somewhat new laptop and every once in a while, at least once every 2-3 days, Arch completely freezes. If music is playing, it gets stuck/it loops over about 0.5 seconds. I can look at my clock and see exactly what time it froze. Any ideas of what logs I should check, or of any possible solutions?

Thanks,
Greg

Re: HP Pavilion dv6-4052: Freezing

What environment are you running (OpenBox? KDE? Gnome? Xfce4?)
What is your video card?
64 bit or 32 bit
Intel or AMD?
Is there anything interesting in the system logs after a crash?
Can you switch to a TTY by Ctrl-Alt-F1 (or F2-F6) after a freeze?
