failed to load vfat module

Hi,

I updated my Arch yesterday, and today when I realized that I couldn't mount my pendrive:

$ sudo modprobe vfat
FATAL: Error inserting vfat (/lib/modules/2.6.38-ARCH/kernel/fs/fat/vfat.ko.gz): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

$ dmesg
[111159.398267] fat: Unknown symbol mcount (err 0)
[111228.637805] fat: Unknown symbol mcount (err 0)
[111232.851109] fat: Unknown symbol mcount (err 0)
[111388.113392] fat: Unknown symbol mcount (err 0)
[111390.867413] fat: Unknown symbol mcount (err 0)
[111487.543021] fat: Unknown symbol mcount (err 0)

Any help?

Re: failed to load vfat module

Have you rebooted since the upgrade?

Re: failed to load vfat module

I have the same problem with nearly all modules.

I updated yesterday after a long time - and after reboot I don't get anything to work (also no LAN/WLAN)

Re: failed to load vfat module

Reinstall the kernel. Make sure /boot is mounted first, if its a separate partition.
