fresh install: wpa_supplicant starts unwanted (netcfg)

Hi there!

I just came back to Arch after some brief stints with it and am trying to get it all running lean and mean. Anyway, as stated in the topic I use netcfg to configure the connection to my wireless network.

My home network uses WEP (yea, yea, I know) and thus I have no need of WPA, the only profile that I copied from the examples dir is thus the WEP profile. It works very well. I noticed though that
on each boot wpa_supplicant was started. I wondered what's starting this and if I could enable/disable it somewhere? (It's not really a big problem but I'd like to know, after all the point is to know your system).

I checked rc.conf and there's nothing WPA related in there and of course in the network profiles nothing either. Where should I look? Should I post the contents of a specific file?

Thanks in advance!
