VirtualBox VM sessions don't open after upgrade [SOLVED]

After today's upgrade (virtualbox 4.0.8-4, kernel26 2.6.39.1-1) VirtualBox can no longer open the virtual machine sessions:

Error message:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine winxp-tw.
The virtual machine 'winxp-tw' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1.

Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

I will try to see if downgrading solves it, but since I'm not very happy with this solution, I wanted to know if there's a better solution?

UPDATE: After restarting the system, averything workd fine again! (blush)
