Hello everyone,
I'm fairly new to Arch, I've been running it for a little over a month now, and loving it, but I've recently encountered a problem.
All of my USB devices take over a minute (usually takes 2-3 minutes) to initialize. This includes my keyboard, mouse, and bluetooth dongle. It's not limited to things plugged in at boot, my phone takes the extra time to be recognized as well.
I've searched around a bit, and I only found solutions to older kernels that didn't work with mine.
Right now, I'm on kernel 2.6.39, the problem still existed in 2.6.38, but as far as I remember, not with the previous kernel (2.6.37?). I can't think of anything else I have done that would cause such strange behavior. If knows anything that will help, it would be appreciated! And I can provide more info, I'm just not sure what I should provide.

I'm experiencing the same thing. When I get to the KDM login screen, I have to wait a minute or two before the mouse and keyboard start responding. I believe it started with 2.6.38, and it continues with 2.6.39. I switched to systemd around the same time, but I don't think that's the issue. It worked fine when I first started using systemd, and the issue still happens if I switch back to init.
Not a huge issue, just an annoyance. It's just that I did all that work to get my boot time down to 10 seconds, and now I have to wait 2 minutes.

I forgot to update, sorry, it seems to have fixed itself? not exactly sure how, but everything works now...

I just fixed it by pulling out my bluetooth USB dongle during boot.
