Default ~/.xsession and ~/.xinitrc files are written to execute all the scripts from: /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/ directory.
I placed there some scripts, but they are not executed when running KDM. My KDE session just doesn't run any of the scripts from /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/ directory.
Comment in ~/.xsession says:
# ~/.xsession
#
# Executed by xdm/gdm/kdm at login
#
/bin/bash --login -i ~/.xinitrc
KDM only executes the /usr/share/config/kdm/Xsession script, which sources some files, but not .xinitrc.
Is it a bug or a feature?
Maybe the KDM or KDE binaries somehow should run the ~/.xsession or ~/.xinitrc files?

Try moving it to ~/.xprofile, I had to use that when I used GNOME/GDM ages ago.

After copying ~/.xsession to ~/.xprofile all is fine, the /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/ were run. Thanks
But on the other hand why the comment in ~/.xsession says it's executed by KDM ? Which is not true.
