Starting Gnome fails after Nvidia driver install

I have installed Arch Linux. And when I run startx I just get an black screen with white text and a red error: main.c: Daemon startup failed

I did install pulseaudio, alsa-plugins.

I did install x
pacman -S xorg-server xorg-xinit xorg-utils xorg-server-utils

Installed Nvidia via
pacman -S nvidia

Installed gnome
pacman -S gnome gnome-extra gnome-system-tools.

I use and Asus P67 MB and Nvidia GTX 580 card.

Here is my xorg log:

Re: Starting Gnome fails after Nvidia driver install

I did a quick google search and it appears the error you are reporting is from pulseaudio. Please ensure you have installed the following packages.

gnome-media-pulse
gnome-settings-daemon-pulse
libcanberra-pulse

Next reset pulseaudio by running these commands.

$ pulseaudio --kill
$ killall pulseaudio
$ killall -9 pulseaudio
$ rm -rf ~/.pulse*
$ rm -rf /tmp/pulse*

Finally start the pulseaudio daemon again and try starting up gnome.

Re: Starting Gnome fails after Nvidia driver install

I can mention that I have tried added gdm in daemons for rc.conf

I cant find
gnome-media-pulse
gnome-settings-daemon-pulse
libcanberra-pulse

those packages when I try to install. I will try to install an another audio package I found that will make pulse work better with gnome.

Re: Starting Gnome fails after Nvidia driver install

It is working now. I had to add dbus to daemons and edit the /etc/inittab
