I am using the version of xmms currently available in arch (1.2.10). Everything works well, but I am intrigued about something: how can I see the file's metadata/tags?
If I use mpg321 I get
$ mpeg321 polar.mp3

But if I play the same song in xmms I only see the artist and the song title going by in the small window; right-clicking the window and selecting "View File Info" show all fields blank except for the title one, which show the file name (without the extension).
How can I view metadata in xmms? Is this even possible or should I be using a different programa for that?
Thanks for any info!
It must be a problem with the file, probably it only has the ID3v2 tags or something like that, use a program like EasyTAG and simple open the file and save it again, it should write the info on a way that XMMS actually understands.
Thanks, that did it!
