I need some help with this. I googled three hours for solution.
I need to burn win iso image to DVD-R medium.

As wodim obviously has problems with your burner/firmware, then have you tried growisofs from dvd+rw-tools, or schilling's original cdrecord, which is much more up-2-date than wodim with regards to dvd-writing ?
Personally, I always use wodim for cd-r writes(since wodim works fine for me on cd-r, I do not need to use schilling's "better" version), and then growisofs for all dvd-type writes, and that works great atleast on the 4 different drive-types i've tested it with...
