Linux archmiddle 2.6.38-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon May 23 22:02:08 CEST 2011 x86_64 AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
Seems like I've been here before:
A Linux kernel packet control tool
core/kernel26 2.6.39.1-1 (base) [installed: 2.6.38.7-1]
\>> pacman -S kernel26
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: ndiswrapper: requires kernel26<2.6.39
Help anybody?
Thanks in advance.

I will try that.
But I have a small problem. I don't know what "pacman" calls it so I can't use pacman to remove it, and am not sure where to start deleting it otherwise.
Shamed to admit it, but I don't know what it's used for, so I don't know if I need it or not.
Can you give me a clue where to start?
I guess I can google it to see what it's for, but how to go about deleting it is still a problem.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks!

ndiswrapper is 'ndiswrapper'.
'pacman -Qs ndis' should return something.

I tried pacman -S ndiswrapper and it had never heard of it, so I'll give your idea a try.
Thanks.

That's because it's not in the repos anymore. You were told to uninstall it, so 'pacman -R', not 'pacman -S'.

Right.
The attempt was before I ever posted anything.
Thanks again.
